Where has the time gone!?

Where has the time gone? I sit here out on my deck listening to the birds chirping, squirrels squawking, and traffic on the nearby main street. Production has slowed down as we enter summer and the official start of craft fair season for New England. While it is too hot to work in my studio, I am still planning, developing, and creating new ideas through sketching in my notebook. I always feel like the summer is the time to take stock of what I have produced and decide what is working, or selling, and what is not.
So far in 2016 I have attended several craft fairs. One in April, The Alchemy Artisan Fair at Gateway City Arts, in Holyoke, MA, brought out a few customers. While I didn't do great, I didn't do bad either. I met some new artist folks and exchanged information for future endeavors. In May I attended the Wistariahurst Garden Art Fair weekend and did spectacular! While it rained the second day, still customers came out and bought items.

As of now I have signed up for the Hadley Asparagus Fair, Saturday June 4, 10 am until 4pm. You will have an opportunity to check out some of my newer fused glass items. Looking to spruce up your deck or outside lounging area? I have a few items that you should be looking at, glass trays that stand alone and also displayed in a wooden tray that has been lovingly stained and oiled. Use it to serve cheese and crackers on or carry out some summer drinks on.

The next fair I am signed up for is not until the Celebrate Holyoke Event in late August. This is a three day annual event that highlights the city of Holyoke for all to come out to see.
For now enjoy your summer and I hope to see you at the Asparagus Fair and or the Celebrate Holyoke Event. If you do show up tell me you read my blog and you will qualify for a 15% discount on anything you purchase!
Celebrate Art!
